Apple Watch & Live Activity
A glance is enough
You don’t want to unlock your phone every five minutes mid-flight. Skyty’s job is to put the right number where you’ll see it without effort.
Dynamic Island & Live Activity
When you’re recording a flight, Skyty publishes a Live Activity:
- Compact view — altitude on the left of the Dynamic Island, speed on the right
- Expanded view — full instrument panel including current city or ocean
- Lock Screen banner — same data, larger, glanceable while the screen is dimmed
It updates every few seconds, drawing zero meaningful battery. Tap to jump back into the app.
Apple Watch app
The Skyty Watch app has two modes:
- Mirror iPhone — when paired, your Watch shows the same data your phone is computing. Useful when your iPhone is in the seat pocket.
- Standalone GPS — your Watch has its own GPS. Skyty falls back to it automatically if the phone is asleep or out of range.
A REC indicator turns on when an iPhone-side recording is in progress.
Complications
Add Skyty to your watch face. Choose a complication style that surfaces your current altitude, speed or city. At cruise altitude, just lift your wrist.
Home Screen widgets
Two iPhone widgets — a position widget for your current location, and a “last flight” widget that shows your most recent recording’s headline stats.
All offline
Live Activity, widgets, complications — none of them need network. They’re all driven by the same on-device GPS pipeline as the main app.
